Opening hours
OLD HARLOW DENTAL PRACTICE is open from Monday-Friday from 09:00-17:30 On Tuesdays we are open until 18:30 for private patients, only. We are closed every day between 13:00 and 14:00 (lunchbreak)
Making an appointment
We will try to offer you an appointment, if required, as soon as possible at a convenient time. You can make an appointment by phoning at 01279 445552. Please check our opening hours. We always try to see patients at the appointed time. If you are kept waiting there is normally a good reason.
Reminders
At the end of your course of treatment, your dentist will discuss with you when you will need to come back for a check-up. NHS dentists now follow guidelines issued by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE). This means you will attend as often as is needed to keep your teeth and gums healthy and may no longer need a check-up every six months. If a patient wants to have a check-up earlier than what the dentist is suggesting he/she has the option of a private examination.
No reminders are sent anymore so you will be highly advised to book your next check-up appointment once the dentist suggests it.
Cancellations
If you are unable to keep your appointment please let us know as soon as possible so that we can give the appointment to someone else. Missed appointments waste NHS time. If you miss an appointment without at least 24 hours notice, we may not be able to complete your treatment or offer you NHS care in the future.
Emergencies
If you are in pain during surgery hours, please contact us and every effort will be made to see you as soon as possible. If you are in pain outside surgery hours you can contact 02089 111135 for pain relief advice on the NHS.
For Private out of hours emergencies contact 07843 261341. Please note that there will be a charge of £100 to open the surgery. For any additional charges you will be informed by the dentist depending on the treatment required.
